About Maya Green Power
Maya Green Power is a rooftop solar company based in Chandigarh, serving homes and businesses across Mohali, Zirakpur, Kharar, New Chandigarh, Chandigarh and Panchkula. We deliver complete solar projects, from system design and equipment supply to installation, approvals and long-term support.
Who we are
Maya Green Power was founded by Shanker Dhand to give Tricity customers a rooftop solar provider that is accountable for the whole project. One company designs the system, supplies the equipment, manages the installation and the approvals, and remains responsible for service afterwards.
We are a multi-brand company. Equipment is selected on technical merit, warranty support and value for each project, which allows us to give customers an independent comparison of the options available to them.

How we deliver a project
Design and engineering. Each system is sized from the customer's electricity bills and sanctioned load, and designed around a survey of the roof for usable area, shading and structural condition.
Equipment. Panels, inverters, batteries and balance-of-system components are specified by make and model in the proposal, and selected to meet the technical and compliance requirements of the project.
Installation. Work on site is carried out by our installation team to a written specification. Quality checks are made during installation, and every system is inspected before handover.
Approvals. We manage the net-metering application and inspection with the electricity department, and the PM Surya Ghar subsidy process for eligible homes.
Contract and warranty. The proposal, agreement and invoice are issued by Maya Green Power. Warranty claims are handled by us with the manufacturer on the customer's behalf.
Our commitments to customers
- Pricing after a site survey. A firm price is given only once the roof, structure and cable routes have been assessed, so that it does not change later.
- Transparent savings projections. Savings and payback are presented as a range, with the tariff, consumption and generation assumptions stated.
- Battery storage only where it is justified. Where grid supply is reliable, we recommend an on-grid system, which costs less and saves more.
- Honest advice on viability. Where a household's bill is already close to zero under Punjab's free units, we say so before any commitment is made.
- Continuity of support. The same contact handles your enquiry, your installation and your service requests.
Our process

Enquiry
Submit the enquiry form, or send us a recent electricity bill, your location and a photograph of the roof on WhatsApp.

Consultation
We review your consumption, power-cut pattern and budget by phone, and advise whether solar is financially worthwhile for you.

Site survey
Our team assesses roof area, shading, structural condition, the meter and existing wiring. No commitment is made before this visit.

Written proposal
You receive the system size, equipment options, warranties, timeline, exclusions and a projected savings range in writing.

Installation
Typically a few days on site once material is delivered, with quality checks during the work and a final inspection.

Commissioning and support
You receive the handover documentation. Service and warranty claims are handled through the same contact for the life of the system.
Our written specification
Two quotations at the same price can describe very different systems. Every Maya Green Power proposal specifies the seven points listed here, so that you can compare offers on a like-for-like basis.
- Panel make and model, and ALMM listing where required
- Inverter brand, capacity and BIS certification
- Mounting structure material, height and wind-load design
- DC and AC cable specification and protection devices
- Earthing and lightning protection
- Product and performance warranties, and who services them
- Net-metering support, commissioning report and handover documents
Service areas
Mohali, Zirakpur, Kharar and New Chandigarh
All projects, including homes on the PM Surya Ghar subsidy. Mohali includes Aerocity and IT City.
Chandigarh and Panchkula
Commercial rooftops, hybrid systems with battery backup, and larger homes that don't need the subsidy.
Coming soon PM Surya Ghar subsidy projects. Chandigarh and Panchkula each have their own approval process, which we are in the process of setting up.
