Privacy notice

Maya Green Power provides rooftop solar consultation, supply, installation and after-sales support in Chandigarh Tricity. It is run by Shanker Dhand, who decides how your personal data is used. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, that makes us the "data fiduciary" for your data. This notice explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

When you send the enquiry form:

Your name and mobile number, your area and your monthly bill range.
Anything you add under "more details": sector or locality, property type, roof details, whether you need backup, what you're interested in, and your message.
How you found us: the link tag (for example, from YouTube or Instagram), the page you came from and the page you landed on.

When you call or WhatsApp us, we also receive whatever you choose to share, such as a photo of your electricity bill.

We do not ask for Aadhaar, PAN, bank details, your consumer number or your full address on this website. If these are needed later for a proposal, a subsidy application or a net-metering request, we will ask you directly, tell you why, and use them only for that purpose.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry by phone or WhatsApp.
To arrange a site survey, prepare a proposal, and install and service your system.
To apply for the subsidy, net metering or a loan, but only if you ask us to.
To see which links and platforms bring in enquiries.

We do not sell your data, and we won't send you promotional messages unrelated to your enquiry unless you separately agree to them.

Your consent, and withdrawing it

We only use the form details if you tick the consent box. You can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it: call, WhatsApp or email us using the details below. We will then stop contacting you and delete your enquiry details, except anything the law requires us to keep. Withdrawing doesn't affect what we did with your consent before that.

Who we share it with

Our installation and supply partners, who work on our behalf. They get only what they need for your job, such as your name, phone number and site address once a survey is booked.
Services we use to run the business: Google (Google Sheets and Gmail, where enquiries are stored), WhatsApp (Meta), and Vercel, which hosts this website. Some of these may store data on servers outside India.
The PM Surya Ghar national portal, your electricity distribution company (such as PSPCL) or a lender, only if you choose a subsidy, net metering or a loan.
Authorities, when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't go ahead: deleted within 12 months of our last contact with you, or sooner if you ask.
Customers: project, warranty and billing records, for as long as the warranty and service relationship lasts, and for as long as tax and other laws require.

How we protect it

The enquiry sheet is private and only the people handling your enquiry can open it. Our accounts use strong passwords and two-step verification. If a data breach affects your data, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India, as the law requires.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you can:

Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with.
Ask us to correct, complete or update it.
Ask us to erase it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Withdraw your consent at any time.
Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to.
Raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India if you're not satisfied with our response.

We usually reply within 7 working days. If you're not satisfied with how we handle your grievance, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Cookies and browser storage

This website uses no cookies and no analytics or advertising trackers. It keeps one small note in your browser for the current visit only: which link brought you to the site, so the enquiry form can record it. The note is cleared when you close the tab. Fonts and images are served from this website itself. WhatsApp links open WhatsApp, which has its own privacy policy.

Children

This website is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us instead.

Language

If you'd like this notice in Hindi or Punjabi, ask us and we'll provide it.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal data, we'll update this notice and the date at the top.
